9-1-1 Goes to Sacramento is a two-day training event held in the state’s capitol each spring.
It is held in conjunction with the state’s two APCO chapters, NAPCO and CPRA and CalNENA. The first day includes a half-day of training and then a reception with California lawmakers and staffers. The second day, you will visit legislator’s offices with a team of dispatchers from your region, speaking about issues affecting 9-1-1 and our profession. It is an excellent way to build bridges with local legislators, express needs and concerns, and to learn more about the legislative process.
